About the Book

About the Author

Rais Ahmad did his M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Chemistry from Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. Then he joined as a lecturer in Poona College, Pune. In 1982 he left the college and joined Centre for Studies on Science at Aligarh which was founded to carry out the studies on the history, philosophy and sociology of science in Islamic perspective. He has successfully organized many Orientation Programmes on Islam and Science. He has published many articles related with Islam and Science. At present he is the executive secretary of The Muslim Association for the Advancement of Science with its Head quarters at Aligarh.

The Muktika Upanishad  (Exploring the Path to Liberation) The Muktika Upanishad, one of the 22 Samanya Upanishads attached to the Shukla Yajurveda, highlights various paths to liberation.
